After you buy

After you buy

Ordered hosting or a domain? These are the steps in order, from the invoice until your site and email work. Stuck at any step? Message us and we finish it with you.

  1. Step 1: Pay the invoice

After your order an invoice arrives by email; you also find it in your account in our shop. The service is set up once it is paid.

  2. Step 2: Open the welcome email

When your hosting is set up, an email brings your sign-in details for the Plesk control panel. Keep it somewhere safe.

    • Not there? Look in your spam folder.
    • Change the password after your first sign-in.
    • Never send the password to anyone, us included.
  3. Step 3: Point your domain

If you registered the domain with us together with the hosting, it is already connected. If your domain is with another provider, set its name servers there to:

    • ns1.horanos.com
    • ns2.horanos.com
    • The change usually takes a few hours, at most 48.
  4. Step 4: Create your email on your domain

In Plesk open Mail, then Create Email Address, and choose the name and password, such as info@yourdomain. Read it in the browser or add it to your phone.

    • Add SPF and DMARC records so your mail does not land in spam.
  5. Step 5: Upload your site

Install WordPress from Plesk, or upload your site's files. Is your site with another company? We move it for free: open a ticket and tell us where it is now.

  6. Step 6: Check the padlock (SSL)

A free SSL certificate comes with every plan. Once the domain points to us, check your site: it should open with https and the padlock.

Bought something else?

A domain only

You manage it from your shop account. A Syrian .sy domain needs the official form and the registry's approval before it works.

A paid SSL certificate

It needs a signing request (CSR) from your server, then proof that you own the domain. Create the request with our tool, or ask us to.
